october links and loves
Beautiful Pumpkins from Clover Meadows friends

October went by in a flash! We are still having some hot days but by and large they are cooler and I am so glad! We are planning November and December birthdays and getting requests for Christmas lists already! This time of year starts to get really busy and is over before I know what hit me.

Some links I loved:

I really really love The Prudent Homemaker’s blog. It’s just so simple and so beautiful. I am so inspired by it from a blogging aspect, but for frugal homemaking and gardening and providing for her household. This mama has 9 kids! She only has .23 acres but 43 fruit trees! Definitely a must check out!

Dear Parents With Young Children in Church. I found this to be very encouraging since I am in fact a parent with young children in church 🙂

Expect the Bible to Unsettle You. Really good article, made me think a lot about my kingdom mission.

An Open Letter to Parents Feeling Unequipped to Disciple Their Kids. I think all parents feel unequipped and inadequate at some point in their parenting. Maybe even often times? This was an encouragement to me.

Fire in our backyard fire pit, one of our most favorite Fall activities

Couple Books I Loved:

The Complete Guide to Fasting: Heal Your Body Through Intermittant, Alternate-Day, and Extended Fasting by Dr. Jason Fung and Jimmy Moore.

Slaying the Giants in Your Life by David Jeremiah

So blessed to be able to be a part of an overnight marriage retreat. View from our room!

Looking forward to the next couple of months with the holidays. It’s always a busy but blessed time. I’d love to hear from you all! What did you read in October? What fun things did you do? Let me know in the comments below!
